The National Stock Exchange (NSE) on January 30, 2026, notified regarding the Extension for the Upload of Client Records to KRAs for Validations.
The following has been stated:
• SEBI mandates that intermediaries upload completed client KYC details to KRAs within a prescribed timeline—originally 10 working days, later reduced to 3 working days as per the October 12, 2023, circular. While clients may start trading upon KYC completion, only those with “KYC Registered” or “KYC Validated” status are permitted to continue trading.
• A review revealed non-compliance by several Trading Members in timely KYC uploads, which is a regulatory violation. Following requests for extension, the Exchange has extended the compliance deadline to April 03, 2026.
• PANs not validated by KRAs by then will be barred from trading and squaring off open positions, and Members must actively monitor such clients and coordinate with KRAs to ensure compliance.
