The Government of Chhattisgarh on January 30, 2026, issued amendments to Chhattisgarh Excise Licensing for Retail Sale of Country and Foreign Liquor (Regulation) Rules, 2018.
The following amendments have been stated:
• For rule 8(d), the following rule 8(d) is substituted, namely:-
Rule 8(d) on supply of liquor from warehouse/godown for Indian/Foreign liquor from 01-04-2026, the rates of duty will be as shown in the table.
Note:- Import duty on foreign liquor (spirit and malt) (blended & bottles) imported from outside India has been abolished in the state and excise duty prevalent in the state has been imposed.
The said amendment will come into force from April 01, 2026.
