class="MsoNormal">The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), on January 30, 2026, notified regarding the fixation of Tariff Value of Edible Oils, Brass Scrap, Gold and Silver.
The notification substitutes TABLE-1 to specify tariff values (in US$ per metric tonne) for various goods classified under different tariff headings. It lists crude palm oil, RBD palm oil, and other palm oil with tariff values of 1066, 1075, and 1071 respectively; crude palmolein, RBD palmolein, and other palmolein with values of 1079, 1082, and 1081 respectively; crude soya bean oil at 1186; and brass scrap (all grades) at a significantly higher value of 7284. Each item is identified by its corresponding chapter or tariff sub-heading for customs classification.
