Industry Specific Compliance The Ministry of Coal (MoC) on January 28, 2026, issued the amendment to the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957.

The following has been stated namely: -

• In PART A, in item 1, for the word "Coal", the words "Coal, including Coking Coal" shall be substituted

• In PART D, after item 3 and the entry relating thereto, the following item shall be inserted, namely: -

"3A. Coking Coal.".
