Commercial ComplianceThe Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on January 28, 2026, notified the date of establishment and withdrawal of the Indian Standards related to Textiles — Water Repellent Fabric for Capes and Rain Coat.

In the following Indian Standards particulars, the Dates of Establishment shall be January 16, 2026 -

• IS 2422:2026 Textiles — Water Repellent Fabric for Capes and Rain Coats — Specification (Fourth Revision).

• IS 5815 (Part 6):2026 Textiles — Hydrophilic Fishing Net Twines — Methods of Test Part 6 Determination of Change in Length after Immersion in Water (Second Revision).

• IS 6347:2026 Textiles — High-Density Polyethylene Continuous Filament Twines for Fishing — Specification (Second Revision).

• IS 8007 (Part 3):2026 ISO 1726-3:2023 Road Vehicles — Mechanical Couplings between Tractors and Semi-trailers Part 3 Requirements for SemiTrailer Contact Area to Fifth Wheel.

In the following Indian Standards particulars, the Date of Withdrawal shall be July 16, 2026: -

• IS 2422:2015 Textiles — Fabric, Water Repellent for Capes and Rain Coats — Specification (Third Revision).

• IS 5815 (Part 6):1993 ISO 3090:1974 Netting Yarns — Determination of Change in Length after Immersion in Water (First Revision).

• IS 6347:2003 Textiles — Polyethylene Monofilament Twines for Fishing — Specification (First Revision).

• IS 10311 – 1982 General Requirements of Powered Platform Trucks and Their Acceptance Criteria.
