The Ministry of Finance (MoF) on February 01, 2026, amended older notifications related to the extension of the validity of certain Customs Exemptions.
The following has been stated: -
•The Central Government has amended 7 Customs exemption notifications issued between 1976 and 2001.
•The amendments are made under the Customs Act, 1962, read with the Finance Act, 2018, in public interest.
•In each notification, the existing validity date of March 31, 2026, has been revised.
•The exemption validity is now extended up to March 31, 2028.
This notification shall come into force on February 02, 2026
