The Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC), on February 2, 2026, issued a notice inviting comments and suggestions from stakeholders on the Mandatory Testing and Certification of Telecommunication Equipment (MTCTE) Procedure v3.0 (TEC 93009:2024).
TEC, being the appropriate authority for notification of standards, conformity assessment and certification of telecommunication equipment, has proposed a review of the existing MTCTE Procedure v3.0 in light of the Telecommunications (Framework to Notify Standards, Conformity Assessment and Certification) Rules, 2025, notified on May 16, 2025, to ensure alignment with the updated regulatory framework.
All stakeholders have been requested to submit their inputs and suggestions through the online form available on the MTCTE portal within 30 days from the date of issue of the notice, to facilitate a transparent and consultative revision of the MTCTE procedure.
