Industry Specific ComplianceThe Government of Tamil Nadu on October 29, 2025, issued amendment in the guidelines for starting of Degree and Diploma Pharmacy courses in Self-Financing Private Pharmacy Institutions issued vide G.O. (Ms.) No. 148, Health and Family Welfare (PME-2) Department, dated April 24, 2018.

The following amendments have been stated:

In the said G.O, in the Annexure:-

• In Sl. Nos. (i), (ii), (vii), (x) and (xvii), the expression "and All India Council for Technical Education" shall be omitted.

• In Sl. No.(viii), the expression" All India Council for Technical Education and" shall be omitted.

• In Sl. No.(xxii), the expression "the All India Council for Technical Education, shall be omitted.

• In Sl. No.(vi), for the expression, "Competent Authority (i.e..) PWD engineer", the expression "Government approved Panel Engineer" shall be substituted.

• for SI. No.(xii), the following shall be submitted:-

"No increase in seats over and above the permitted strength in D.Pharm course should be made without prior approval of the Government, and such proposals should be intimated atleast six months in advance. Increase of seats or starting of new D.Pharm course can be considered only after completion of all facilities including staff and equipment mentioned above."

• Sl.Nos. (xv) and (xx) shall be omitted.
