The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), on February 03, 2026, issued a corrigendum to Notification No. 16/2026–Customs (N.T.), which was originally dated February 02, 2026 and published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii).
The corrigendum clarifies an error in Para 2 of the said notification relating to the effective date mentioned therein. The earlier reference to the “2nd day of February” has been corrected.
Accordingly, for the words, letters and numbers “2nd day of February”, the correct reading shall be “3rd day of February”, thereby aligning the provision with the intended date of effect.
