The Telangana Electricity Regulatory Commission (TERC) on January 24, 2026, issued the Telangana Electricity Regulatory Commission (Terms and Conditions of Open Access) First Amendment Regulation, 2026, to further amend the Telangana Electricity Regulatory Commission (Terms and Conditions of Open Access), Regulation, 2024.
The following has been stated namely: -
• This Regulation shall extend to whole of Telangana State
• Clause 14.11 shall be modified as below:
“14.11. Any energy injected into the licensee’s network from the date of grant of GEOA till the date of submission of agreement for wheeling, the applicant is not entitled for payment of energy charges and the energy injected shall be treated as inadvertent power.”
This shall come into force on January 24, 2026.
