Industry Specific ComplianceThe Revenue Department, Rajasthan on January 30, 2026, issued the notification regarding the voluntary Aadhaar Authentication for Identification of Land/Property Owners in Rajasthan

The following has been stated namely: -

• Aadhaar authentication is permitted to establish the identity of land/property owners for generating an Aadhaar-based unique land/property owner ID, to improve convenience, transparency, and efficiency.

• The Registrar, Board of Revenue, Rajasthan is authorised to perform Aadhaar authentication under the Aadhaar Authentication for Good Governance Rules, 2020.

• Aadhaar authentication will be carried out only for this specific purpose using Yes/No and/or e-KYC authentication and not for any other use.

• Aadhaar authentication is voluntary, and prior consent of the Aadhaar holder is mandatory. No service shall be denied for refusal or inability to undergo Aadhaar authentication.

• If Aadhaar is not used, alternative identity documents (Voter ID, Ration Card, Kisan Photo Passbook, or photo ID issued by a Gazetted Officer/Tehsildar) must be accepted. 

The notification comes into force from January 30, 2026.
