The Government of Maharashtra, on February 04, 2026, issued a notification regarding revised Zone-wise Minimum Wage Rates for Scheduled Industries.
The following has been stated: -
•The government announced revised Total Minimum Wages (Basic Wage + Special Allowance/VDA) for scheduled industries effective January 01, 2026, to June 30, 2026.
•Wage tables classify workers as Skilled, Semi-Skilled, and Unskilled, with zone-wise monthly basic rates (Zone 1–3).
•The notification covers multiple sectors like legal establishments, construction, hospitals, pharma, engineering, hotels, and transport.
•Total minimum wages vary by industry and skill level, with skilled wages in Zone 1 ranging roughly from ₹11,049 to ₹24,689 per month.
