Finance & Taxation ComplianceThe Ministry of Finance (MoF) on February 04, 2026, issued the corrigendum 2 to the older notification no. 04/2025-Central Excise, dated December 31, 2025, stating the duty rates for machines based on the levy on Chewing Tobacco, Jarda Scented Tobacco, and Gutkha.

It states that in the said notification at page 38, in line 37, for “ and Unmanufactured Tobacco” read “Jarda Scented Tobacco and Gutkha”.
