The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on February 05, 2026, issued amendment in import policy of ITC (HS) code 71141920 covered under Chapter 71 of ITC (HS), 2022, Schedule - I (Import Policy).
The Central Government hereby amends the import policy of ITC (HS) code 71141920 covered under Chapter 71 of ITC (HS) 2022, Schedule - I (Import Policy) with immediate effect:
The Import Policy of items covered under ITC HS Code 71141920 which is Articles of platinum is revised from "Free" to "Restricted", subject to Policy Condition No. 6 of Chapter 71, with immediate effect.
Policy Condition No. 6 of Chapter 71 is introduced as under:
The import of Platinum Articles is 'Restricted'. However, the following categories of Import of Platinum Articles shall be 'Free.
• Re-import of Indian origin goods that have been carried for overseas exhibitions or export promotion tours.
• Re-import of Indian origin goods that are rejected/returned/unsold.
• Re-import of Indian origin goods intended for repair.
