The Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation (MoSPI) on February 06, 2026, issued a notification regarding the launch of the MCP Server Beta for eSankhyiki Portal.
The following has been stated: -
•NSO (MoSPI) launched the beta MCP server for the eSankhyiki portal, enabling AI tools to directly access official statistics.
•The beta includes seven key datasets such as PLFS, CPI, ASI, IIP, National Accounts, WPI, and Environmental Statistics.
•Users can query data directly, automate reports, and integrate datasets without downloading large files.
•The initiative promotes AI-driven governance, data accessibility,y and faster decision-making, with more datasets to be added gradually.
