The Government of Goa, on February 05, 2026, issued a corrigendum regarding streamlining of mandatory documentation under Ease of Doing Business.
The following has been stated namely:-
• It is hereby informed that at Sr. No. 5 (Hotel Registration) and Sr. No. 2 (Water Sports Registration), the entry shall be read as under, in place of the existing text: Sr. No. 5 – Hotel Registration
• All residential units, apartments, or villas proposed to be used for tourism or commercial hospitality purposes established within the complex/building shall be required to submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the following, as applicable:
• Respective Housing-Society, where the society is unregistered or non-functional;
• The resident Welfare Association/Home Owner’s Association or
• Builder/Promoter (in the case of new buildings or complexes where no association/society has been formed) or, alternatively.
• Consent from more than 50% of the residents of the building or complex.
