Industry Specific ComplianceThe Ministry of Communications (MoC) on February 04, 2026, issued the notification regarding the various policy and technical measures issued under DoT.

The following has been stated namely: -

• DoT and TSPs have implemented a system to detect and block international spoofed calls showing Indian mobile numbers, achieving about 99% reduction.

• DoT has launched a secure DIP to share information on misuse of telecom resources with security agencies, police, banks, UPI providers, and TSPs.

• TSPs must conduct annual security audits (and after major network changes) as per international standards like ISO/IEC 27001, including VAPT, external audits are mandatory every three years.

• DoT has advised TSPs to strengthen security of sensitive telecom data such as SDR, CDR, and IPDR, ensuring protection of data at rest and in transit, and to comply with Minimum Security Policy requirements.

• DoT conducts annual cross-check network security audits and has established a Telecom Security Operations Centre (TSOC) for continuous monitoring, coordination, and improved cyber security response.
