The Government of Telangana, on February 07, 2026, issued a local holiday on poll day, i.e., February 11, 2026.
The following has been stated namely: -
• Local holiday is declared on Poll Day, i.e., February 11, 2026 (Wednesday) to all the Government Offices, Local bodies and other Government institutions in Sangareddy district, where the areas are notified for elections for Municipalities, 2026.
• In view of the above, the management of those undertakings and firms is hereby requested to declare on poll day a paid holiday in the areas notified for elections to be held on 11.02.2026 and that any subsequent holiday may be made a working day, so that the production target may not be affected. If this is also not possible, the management of the above establishments/firms is requested to consider giving the employees working in respective areas of election "Permission" time-off, during the poll hours on polling day, to enable them to exercise their franchise.
