The Government of Goa, on February 05, 2026, issued the Equivalence Certificate for Grade 10 for persons with intellectual disabilities.
The following has been stated: -
•Scheme grants a Grade 10 equivalence certificate to eligible persons with intellectual disabilities to support education, skills, and employment opportunities.
•Applicable to Goa residents (5+ years), age 15+, IQ 70 or below, after 3 years of structured training and vocational programmes.
•Assessment includes life skills, communication, academics, and vocational training with a minimum 80% score plus a 3-month internship.
•The Goa Board will issue the final mark sheet/certificate, and the scheme takes effect from February 05, 2026.
