The Government of Maharashtra, on February 10, 2026, issued a notification regarding the Festival Allowance for Traditional Textile Weavers.
The following has been stated: -
•Government approved ₹2.70 crore for Ganesh Chaturthi festival allowance under the Integrated & Sustainable Textile Policy 2023-28 for certified weavers in five traditional textile sectors.
•Eligible beneficiaries will receive ₹10,000 (male) and ₹15,000 (female) through DBT during FY 2025-26 from the approved budget provision.
•Assistant Director (Accounts) designated as Drawing & Disbursing Officer and Commissioner (Textiles) as Controlling Officer; utilization certificates mandatory.
•Funds must follow prescribed rules, with verified beneficiary lists attached to bills; resolution issued with Finance Department approval.
