Industry Specific Compliance The Government of Kerala, on February 07, 2026, issued amendments to the Kerala Single Dwelling Place Protection Act, 2025.

The following has been stated: -

•The English translation of the Act has been corrected to expand the definition of “debtor” under Section 2(b). The term now explicitly includes the surety along with persons who have taken loans by mortgaging a single dwelling place.
