The Sugnu Municipal Council (SMC), on February 10, 2026, issued a notification regarding the final publication of the “Sugnu Municipal Council Building Bye-Laws, 2025.” The draft Bye-Laws, adopting the “Model Manipur Unified Building Bye-Laws, 2024,” were earlier notified in the Manipur Gazette (Extraordinary No. 230 dated December 15, 2025) vide notification dated December 05, 2025, inviting objections and suggestions from the general public within seven days of publication.
As no objections or suggestions were received within the stipulated period, the Council has proceeded to finalize the Bye-Laws. Accordingly, in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 212 of the Manipur Municipalities Act, 1994, the Bye-Laws have been formally published in the Manipur Gazette for general information as the “Sugnu Municipal Council Building Bye-Laws, 2025.”
