Industry Specific Compliance The Government of Assam on February 04, 2026, issued the notification regarding the Holiday on February 16, 2026, due to Sri Sri Maha Sivratri Puja and Mela.

The following has been stated namely: -

• All State Govt. Offices and all Educational Institutions including all Financial Institutions/Co-operative Banks etc. of Sivasagar District will remain close on that day.

• The local Holiday will not affect in case of any examination of School and colleges already scheduled.
