The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on February 12, 2026, issued a notification regarding the date of establishment and the date till which the standard without the amendment shall remain in force for Indian Standards, such as Automotive Vehicles.
The following has been stated: -
•IS 1884: 1993 Automotive Vehicles — Electric Horns — Specification (Third Revision)
•IS 15633: 2022 Automotive Vehicles — Pneumatic Tyres for Passenger Car Vehicle — Diagonal and Radial Ply — Specification (First Revision)
•IS 15796: 2008 Automotive Vehicles — Horn Installation Requirements
The date of establishment is February 06, 2026, and the date of withdrawal is August 05, 2026.
