Finance & Taxation Compliance The Government of Goa, on February 12, 2026, notified the Goa Barge Tax (Amendment) Rules, 2026, to further amend the Goa Barge Tax Rules,1975.

The following has been stated: -

•In rule 7, for the expression “Inland Vessels Act, 1917”, the expression “Inland Vessels Act, 2021” shall be substituted.

•In rule 7A, for the letters and figures “Rs. 100/-” the letters and figures “Rs. 1000/-” shall be substituted.

They shall come into force on February 12, 2026.
