The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) on February 14, 2026, issued an order under Para 5 of the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013 (DPCO, 2013), regarding computation of retail price based on June 2025 data for Each uncoated bilayered tablet containing Bisoprolol Fumarate IP 5 mg + Telmisartan IP 40 mg, manufactured by M/s Windlas Biotech Limited and marketed by M/s Alkem Wellness Limited (File No. 5021).
Based on market data (MAT M3) and applicable methodology under DPCO, 2013, including consideration of companies with market share of 1% and above, average PTR, and addition of 16% retailer margin, the worked-out retail price has been determined at Rs. 12.55 per tablet (excluding GST). This is against the claimed price of Rs. 18.00 per tablet (excluding GST).
Accordingly, the proposed retail price has been fixed at Rs. 12.55 per tablet (excluding GST), resulting in a reduction compared to the highest claimed price, in order to ensure availability of the scheduled formulation at a reasonable and regulated price in public interest.
