The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) on February 14, 2026, issued an order under Para 5 of the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013 (DPCO, 2013), for computation of retail price based on June 2025 data in respect of Each uncoated bilayered tablet containing Bisoprolol Fumarate IP 2.5 mg + Telmisartan IP 40 mg, manufactured by M/s Windlas Biotech Limited and marketed by M/s Alkem Wellness Limited (File No. 5020).
As per the computation, the worked-out retail price has been determined at Rs. 10.73 per tablet (excluding GST), against the claimed price of Rs. 16.00 per tablet (excluding GST). The proposed retail price has accordingly been fixed at Rs. 10.73 per tablet (excluding GST).
The fixation ensures compliance with the provisions of DPCO, 2013 and aims to regulate the price of the scheduled formulation in public interest to ensure availability of essential medicines at reasonable prices.
