Industry Specific Compliance The Government of Kerala on February 06, 2026, issued the Abkari (Amendment) Bill, 2026, to further amend the Abkari Act, 1077.

The following has been stated namely: -

• Section 29 which states “Power to make rules” the following has been amended namely: -

“In sub-section (2), in clause (a), after the word “bread”, the words “and vinegar” shall be inserted.”

This shall come into force on February 06, 2026.
