The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on February 16, 2026, issued the Draft Directions on Reporting Instructions for authorized Dealer Category – I Banks.
The following has been stated: -
•The Reserve Bank of India has released draft Directions requiring Authorised Dealer Category–I banks to report global INR-linked foreign exchange derivative transactions undertaken by their related parties, inviting public comments by March 09, 2026.
•The move aims to enhance transparency in offshore Rupee derivative markets and improve pricing efficiency by expanding reporting to the trade repository of Clearing Corporation of India Limited.
