Industry Specific ComplianceThe Meghalaya State Electricity Regulatory Commission (MSERC), on December 19, 2025, notified the Meghalaya State Electricity Regulatory Commission (Terms and Conditions for determination of Tariff for Generation from Renewable Energy Sources) Regulations, 2025.

The following has been stated: -

•The Meghalaya State Electricity Regulatory Commission has notified the Renewable Energy Tariff Regulations, 2025, valid till March 31, 2028.

•The regulations lay down definitions, eligibility criteria, and tariff determination norms for grid-connected renewable energy projects in Meghalaya.

•They specify financial principles, including capital cost, debt-equity ratio (70:30), return on equity, depreciation, working capital, and O&M expenses.

•Separate technical and tariff parameters are prescribed for wind, solar, small hydro, biomass, biogas, RDF, hybrid, and storage-based renewable energy projects.

These regulations shall come into force on December 19, 2025.
