Industry Specific ComplianceThe Government of Karnataka on February 12, 2026, issued the Karnataka Good Samaritan and Medical Professional (Protection and Regulation During Emergency Situations) Rules, 2026.

The following has been stated namely: -

• The Disciplinary action for non-compliance of the provisions shall be taken under the provisions of the Karnataka State Police (Disciplinary Proceedings) Rules, 1965.

• The Sums from following sources may be received to the good Samaritan Fund namely: -

o Voluntary donations and contributions from the general public as well as CSR funds from the corporates

o Aided donations and contributions from the registered Associations and Institutions

o Grant in aid from the Karnataka road safety Authority as well as other Government schemes or authorities

o Eligible loans (with prior approval of the Government) from the appropriate authority.

• The Travel expenses and remuneration has been stated.

This shall come into force on February 12, 2026.
