The Government of Uttar Pradesh on December 30, 2026, issued the Uttar Pradesh Private Universities (Fourth Amendment) Bill, 2025, to further amend the Uttar Pradesh Private Universities Act, 2019.
The following has been stated namely: -
• In Schedule 2, after serial no. 50, a new serial number "51" shall be inserted, namely: "K. D. University, Mathura as a newly recognized private university. The university is sponsored by the Rajiv Memorial Academic Welfare Society, Mathura.”
• The Uttar Pradesh Private Universities (Fourth Amendment) Ordinance, 2025 is hereby repealed
This shall come into force on October 17, 2025.
