The Government of Odisha on January 13, 2026 issued amendment of Operational Guidelines under Para 7.2 of Odisha Food Processing Policy-2016.
The following paras been amended:
• Para 6.1 have been amended as follows:
6.1 Cold Chain projects and Standalone Cold Storages will be eligible for Capital Investment Subsidy.
(a) "Cold Chain Project" covers creation of infrastructure facility along the entire supply chain viz. pre-cooling, weighing, sorting, grading, waxing facilities, multi product/multi temperature cold storage, CA storage, packing facility, IQF, blast freezing in the distribution hub and reefer vans, mobile cooling units for facilitating distribution of non-horticulture, fish/marine/aqua-culture, dairy, meat products. The objective is to provide integrated cold chain and preservation infrastructure facilities, without any break, from the farm gate to the consumer.
(b) "Standalone Cold Storage" means an enclosed chamber insulated and mechanically cooled by refrigeration machinery to provide refrigerated condition to things stored therein but does not include refrigerated cabinets and chilling plants having capacity of less than 28.3168 cubic meters.
• Para 11.1 have been amended as follows:
11.1 New Eligible Cold Chain Projects and Standalone Cold Storages shall submit application in the prescribed form appended to this operational guideline at Annexure 'A' along with undertaking in Annexure A(1) and copies of all relevant documents as mentioned in the Checklist at Annexure 'B'. Application shall be submitted to the General Manager, DIC concerned in duplicate.
• SI. No. 6 of Annexure-A have been amended as follows:
