The Government of Odisha, on January 19, 2026, issued the Operational Guidelines on Subsidy for MSME Sustainable Certification Zero Defect Zero Effect (ZED) under Odisha MSME Development Policy-2022.
The following has been stated: -
•The policy provides MSMEs with an additional 80% subsidy on the balance cost of obtaining Sustainable ZED Certification, over and above the Government of India support.
•It also offers one-time reimbursement (50% of eligible costs, subject to ₹2–5 lakh limits) for plant, machinery, or testing equipment to achieve ZED Bronze, Silver, or Gold ratings.
•Eligible new and existing MSMEs (including E/M/D units) must be UDYAM-registered, commence production within prescribed timelines, and apply within two years of certification through the AIM portal.
•Applications are scrutinized by the District Level Committee, and incentives are available only to operational, non-NPA units meeting policy conditions.
