The Ministry of Finance (MoF) on February 17, 2026, issued a notification regarding the designation of a Nodal Officer under the IT Act for IGST.
The following has been stated: -
•In supersession of the earlier notification, the Central Government has designated the Principal ADG/ADG (Intelligence), DGGI Headquarters, CBIC, as the nodal officer under the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Amendment Rules, 2025.
•The designation is made for matters relating to Section 14A(3) of the Integrated Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017.
This Notification shall remain in force from February 17, 2026.
