The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution (MoCAF&PD) on February 16, 2026, issued a notification regarding the 5th Reallocation of Sugar Export Quota.
The following has been stated: -
•The Government has permitted export of 15 LMT of sugar for the 2025–26 season and allowed exchange of export quota with domestic monthly release quota as per guidelines dated November 14, 2025.
•Based on requests and agreements between sugar mills, additional export quantities have been allocated and corresponding domestic release quotas adjusted accordingly.
