The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) on February 18, 2026, issued a notification regarding the revocation of Stage-II GRAP Measures across NCR amid improving AQI.
The following has been stated: -
•The Sub-Committee on GRAP under the Commission for Air Quality Management has revoked all Stage-II actions across the NCR with immediate effect due to sustained improvement in Delhi’s AQI.
•As per the Central Pollution Control Board, Delhi’s AQI improved to 214 on February 18, 2026, with forecasts by IMD/IITM indicating it will remain in the ‘Poor’ to ‘Moderate’ category.
•Stage-II had been in force since October 19, 2025, due to rising pollution levels.
•However, Stage-I measures will continue, with agencies directed to maintain strict monitoring to prevent deterioration in air quality.
