Industry Specific ComplianceThe Government of Telangana on January 28, 2026, mandated the fitment of High Security Registration Plates (HSRP) to all vehicles registered with the Department of Mines & Geology, Govt. of Telangana.

The Department of Mines & Geology, Government of Telangana has mandated the installation of High Security Registration Plates (HSRP) on all mineral-carrying vehicles operating in Telangana to ensure transparency, curb illegal transportation, and enable accurate vehicle identification. The requirement applies to vehicles such as lorries, tippers, dumping tippers, and tractors operating from leasehold areas, mineral dealer locations, temporary permit zones, and stockyards. HSRPs must be installed on both the front and rear of vehicles and maintained in a clearly visible, untampered condition by the vehicle owner, operator, or leaseholder.

Compliance will be strictly monitored through CCTV, ANPR, and other verification systems at entry and exit points of operational areas. Vehicles without valid HSRPs, or those with damaged or fake plates, will be blocked in the ePermit system and denied further permits until compliance is achieved. Authorities may also impose penalties, with repeated violations leading to stricter action, including blacklisting. The circular requires widespread awareness among transporters and vehicle owners, with mandatory installation to be completed within one month, by February 28, 2026.
