Finance & Taxation ComplianceThe Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs (CBIC) on February 18, 2026, issued revision of Tariff Value Tables under Customs Notification.

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs, under powers granted by the Customs Act, 1962, has amended Notification No. 36/2001-Customs (N.T.) issued by the Ministry of Finance, Government of India. The amendment substitutes revised Tables 1, 2, and 3 relating to tariff values for specified imported goods. However, the notified tariff values for items such as crude and refined palm oil, palmolein, crude soybean oil, brass scrap, gold, silver, and areca nuts remain unchanged from the previously applicable rates.

The notification confirms tariff values including US$ 1086–1093 per metric tonne for various palm oil categories, US$ 1202 per metric tonne for crude soybean oil, US$ 7391 per metric tonne for brass scrap, US$ 1624 per 10 grams for gold, US$ 2421 per kilogram for silver, and US$ 7020 per metric tonne for areca nuts. The revised notification takes effect from 19 February 2026.
