The Government of Odisha on February 16, 2026, issued the Draft Odisha Industrial Relations Rules, 2026.
The following has been stated namely: -
• They extend to the whole State of Odisha and matters for which the State Government is the appropriate Government
• The settlement arrived at in the course of conciliation proceedings or a written agreement between the employer and worker arrived at otherwise than in the course of conciliation proceedings shall be in Form-I
• The Bi-Partite Forums has been stated in Chapter II and Trade Unions has been stated in chapter III
• Chapter IV states regarding the Standing Orders
• Chapter X states regarding the “Special Provisions Relating to Lay-Off, Retrenchment and Closure in Certain Establishments”
