The Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL) on March 13, 2026, issued circular regarding the Maker Checker Facility in Online Processing of Redemption/Restatementisation Transactions.
Depository Participants (DPs) are informed that the Maker–Checker facility for online processing of redemption and restatementisation transactions has been implemented in the live environment from February 28, 2026, as previously communicated. This facility enhances control and verification in processing such transactions.
DPs must ensure that the Maker–Checker activity for redemption transactions is completed within the regulatory cut-off time so that the transaction can be considered for the same-day Net Asset Value (NAV) for Mutual Fund units.
Further, DPs are required to complete the maker-checker process on the same business day when the client submits the redemption request, within the prescribed timeline. They should also make any necessary changes in their back-office systems to comply with the updated process.
