The National Stock Exchange (NSE) on March 13, 2026, issued circular on Colocation Initiatives – Updates for Colocation as a Service '(CaaS)' facility.
The National Stock Exchange of India Ltd. (NSE) has issued a partial modification to its circular dated April 29, 2025 regarding the Colocation as a Service (CaaS) framework. In addition to empaneled software vendors, empaneled Algo Providers (as per the circular dated July 22, 2025) are now also permitted to offer CaaS services to exchange members.
Algo providers wishing to avail of colocation facilities must apply for rack subscription through the ENIT portal along with the required undertaking. Additionally, Algo Vendors and interested trading members must execute a Service Provider Agreement (SPA) and submit a certified copy while placing the Trading Member (TM) enrolment request on the ENIT portal.
All vendors providing CaaS services are required to submit a half-yearly System Audit Report along with Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) reports in accordance with the applicable Terms of Reference and the latest guidelines issued on March 5, 2026.
Further, digital acceptance of requests such as rack desire/allotment, IP allotment, and TM enrolment will be available on the ENIT portal from March 16, 2026 (beginning of day). All other terms and conditions of the existing CaaS framework remain unchanged.
