The Government of Kerala on March 11, 2026, issued the Kerala Foreign Liquor (Compounding, Blending and Bottling) Amendment Rules, 2026 to further amend the Kerala Foreign Liquor (Compounding, Blending and Bottling) Rules, 1975.
The following amendments have been stated:
• In rule 11, for sub-rule (3), the following sub-rule shall be substituted, namely:—
“(3) No liquor processed in a batch shall be issued until a sample thereof has been analysed and certified by the Chemical Examiner or the Bureau of Indian Standards that the sample confirms with Food Safety and Standards (Alcoholic Beverages) Regulations, 2018.”.
