The U.T. Administration of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu on March 12, 2026, issued the Draft Goa, Daman & Diu Registration of Tourist Trade (3rd Amendment) Rules, 2026 to further amend the Goa, Daman and Diu Registration of Tourist Trade Rules, 1985.
The following amendments have been stated:
• In Rule 3 (1) - the fees for registration for following categories has been amended.
• In Annexure "A" (Part-E) of Rule 3 Bed & Breakfast/Homestay Establishment ("E" Category), the condition namely "The Owner/promoter of the Establishment alongwith his/her families is physically residing in the same establishment in the suitable locality." shall be omitted.
• In Annexure "A" (Part-E) of Rule 3, under point (b), for the words "Minimum one lettable room and maximum 6 rooms" the words: "Minimum one lettable room and maximum 8 rooms" shall be substituted.
• In Annexure "A" (Part-E) of Rule 3, after point (j), a new point (k) will be inserted as "(k) The documents required for the registration of the Homestay / Bed & Breakfast will be as decided by the prescribed authority.
The draft of the Goa, Daman & Diu Registration of Tourist Trade (3rd Amendment) Rules, 2026 has issued for inviting objections and suggestions if any, in writing to the Director-cum Joint Secretary (Tourism), 4th Floor, Vidhyut Bhavan, Secretariat, Daman from all persons likely to be affected thereby on or before the expiry of 30 days from the date of the publication of the said Notification in the Official Gazette.
