Industry Specific ComplianceThe Government of Andhra Pradesh on March 13, 2026, issued amendments to the AP Excise (Grant of license of selling by Bar and conditions of license) Rules 2025.

The following amendments have been stated:

• The Rule 13(8) (c) shall be read as;

Rule 13(8)(c) :- No selection for grant of a bar licence shall be conducted, unless a minimum of four applications are received for that particular bar. In such case, the last date and time fixed for receipt of applications for that particular bar shall be extended till such date, as the Commissioner of Prohibition and Excise may direct.

Provided that in case four or more applications are not received even after extension of last date and time and no selection process is conducted, the non-refundable application fee(s) shall be returned/refunded to the applicant(s).
