The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) on March 10, 2026 issued a circular to NETC member banks announcing the introduction of new features in the NRCS back office to streamline operational workflows and reduce dependency on NPCI intervention. The enhancements include an ecosystem escalation matrix, a centralized e-library, and access to an upgraded PGP tool, aimed at improving efficiency, documentation access, and secure data handling within the NETC system.
The circular introduces an Escalation Matrix feature (effective immediately), enabling member banks to create, update, and view escalation contacts directly within the system, thereby minimizing manual coordination. It also launches an E-Library, serving as a centralized repository for important documents such as guidelines, circulars, training materials, and technical specifications, ensuring easy access to critical resources for operational teams.
Further, an upgraded PGP Tool and Key Revision (effective April 25, 2026) has been introduced to enhance encryption and decryption processes. Member banks are required to use the new PGP tool and keys for all new files, while legacy files will continue to be decrypted using existing keys. The escalation matrix information is strictly for internal use and must not be shared externally.
