The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on March 11, 2026, issued the date of establishment for certain Indian Standards in relation to methods for chemical analysis of steel.
The following Indian Standards were established on March 10, 2026:
• IS 228 (Part 26): 2026 ISO 4940: 2025 Methods for Chemical Analysis of Steels Part 26 Determination of Nickel Content — Flame Atomic
• IS 228 (Part 27): 2026 ISO/TR 17055: 2002 Methods for Chemical Analysis of Steels Part 27 Determination of Silicon Content — Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectrometric Method
• IS 2265: 2026 Specification for Galvanized Steel Wire Strand for Signalling Purposes (Second Revision)
