The Government of Himachal Pradesh on March 13, 2026, notified regarding the Authorization of District Officers to Exercise Powers under the Essential Commodities Act in Sirmour District.
The notification issued by the Collector of Sirmour District, Himachal Pradesh, supersedes the earlier notification dated February 25, 1993. Exercising powers under the Essential Commodities Act, 1955, the Collector has authorized the Additional District Collector/Additional District Magistrate and all Sub-Divisional Magistrates in the district to act as “Collector” under the Act.
These officers are empowered to perform functions and exercise powers under the Act within their respective territorial jurisdictions.
