The Government of NCT of Delhi, on March 18, 2026, issued a circular regarding renewal of L-8 & L-14 Excise Licenses.
The following has been stated: -
•The Government of NCT of Delhi has decided to renew L-8 and L-14 excise retail licenses (for “off” premises consumption) for the period April 01, 2026, to March 31, 2027.
•Licenses are granted to government corporations like Delhi Consumer's Co-operative Wholesale Store, Delhi State Civil Supplies Corporation, Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation, and Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation.
•Renewal is subject to payment of ₹2,00,000 license fee (for both L-8 and L-14) by March 31, 2026, and compliance with the Delhi Excise Act, 2009, and Rules, 2010.
• The government may revise fees, and delays in payment will attract penalties as decided by the competent authority.
