Labour ComplianceThe Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) on March 18, 2026, issued a notification regarding payment to the Overseas Bank Accounts of International Workers & their beneficiaries belonging to SSA countries.

The following has been stated: -

•The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation has simplified procedures for transferring benefits to overseas bank accounts of International Workers (IWs) from countries having Social Security Agreements (SSA) with India.

•Claims will be processed at regional offices, with overseas bank details recorded for direct transfer, and payments can be made in India, the home country, or a third country as per SSA provisions.

•Verification of foreign bank accounts can be done through attested bank documents by the employer or a competent SSA authority.

•Delhi (North Regional Office) will act as the nodal office for filing tax forms (Form 15CA/15CB) under the Income Tax Act, 1961, with support from a designated Chartered Accountant.

•Proper documentation, tax compliance, and maintenance of control registers are mandatory, with monthly reconciliation and strict adherence to earlier EPFO instructions.
